It was a Thursday morning like any other. I woke up, had some Frosted Flakes (they're grrrreaat!) and walked over to my computer.
My auto responder had just canceled me. So I decided I'd import it elsewhere. I signed up, hit the import button, and walked back to the kitchen.
Knock, knock. That was strange. So, still in my PJs I walked to the door. This is where it gets a little blurry.
Two men in black suits grabbed me and threw me in a car. I was blindfolded and they zip-tied my hands together. I was terrified.
The took me into a building, put me in a hard chair, and removed the blindfold.
They look at at me sternly. "We have some serious questions about your recent activity, and you must answer some questions."
My mind raced. What could this be about? I hoped like hell I had erased my internet history.
The cold voice said "Did you just recently import your list to our service without confirming them?"
I froze. He had me dead to rights. That was my buyers list, so I didn't have an opt-in form they came from, the product was from two years ago, and I didn't have the IPs.
This was getting serious. They tossed a bucket of ice cold water on me, and said "We better not ever hear of this again, or we will be back…"
With that they tossed me in the car, drove back to my house and tossed me on my front lawn.
My neighbor helped me. He said "I know who those guys are, and they are MONSTERS!"
