#8: SCAM Reviews
This isn't really a myth but it is something you should read -- especially if you're looking to make money online. One thing you need to look out for is the SCAM advertisement (or ads with the word "scam" in the title.) You find these at the top of google/yahoo/msn searches in their ad categories when looking for a legitimate review. They are titled 'website name SCAM' or 'the truth about website' or something like that; true SCAM sites WILL do this in order to throw you off. They know the first thing potential buyers of their service do is look up scams involving them, so why not make advertisements and webpages that are optimized to show up and make that final sale from a scam review site. It's brilliant in one sense but also the lowest of the low in another. It's taking advantage of people who are trying to NOT get ripped off then spitting in their face and taking their money.
If you are ever reading a scam review that's raving about the products success you are not reading a legitimate scam review; you are reading the final sales pitch that closes most of their deals. I've said this before and I'll say it again because its words I live by, never invest money into a product or website you're not willing to lose. Legitimate scam reviews are usually short, sweet and include a curse word OR you may find nothing at all:) Keep in mind with any purchase you make on the Internet that just because something is expensive doesn't mean it works; and just because something is cheap doesn't make it cost effective.
I recommend testing with free ads and only paying for proven results

Read 'em and weep.
Don't ignore the truth behind these myths.
Now the real kicker to watch out for is 'do you get paid directly or not', if not there is a HIGH chance the admin will peace out with your money because there is usually a reason you don't pay each other directly... Don't get me wrong there ARE lots of good admins who run these programs so I'm not pointing any fingers or bashing. A good admin is the guy who launches the program, pays everyone he is supposed to, makes a few dollars for himself and then opens a new site when he sees that his client pool has dried up.
And some food for thought, if you know a good admin who runs these types of programs on a regular basis, slip him $20 bucks and tell him to tell you the instant he reveals his next project because as you know whomever gets in first makes all the money :- )
