This is recorded session leaving a voicemail and offering followup via email to a prospects who had left their contact information on my lead capture page requesting information about starting a home business. Why Telephone Sales? Platinun synergy is the company who produces is ResponseMagic, a contact management /autoresponder system. ResponseMagic was provided free through NLM recruit on demand. I had a exhausted the number of subscribers with MLMROD. Platinun Synergy offered 100 free leads upon my upgrade to first paid level which is up to 5000 subscribers. MLM Recruit On Demand (MLMROD) If you have ever considered doing telemarketing or telephone sales, MLMROD is an excellent program with an extremely inexpensive point of entry at $15 for life. You get 100 leads targeted for people who have participated in, or had interest in Network Marketing. Using the very good contact management system in MLMROD, you just demonstrate you have actually taken action on the 100 leads they provide by completing a status after each contact or attempted contact. The email addresses for MLMROD are typically not reliable, but phone numbers (provided to the Network Marketing program at the time of their participation) show a little higher level of success. Nevertheless, you call the number, and depending on the response, follow a pre-written script for that scenario. The most important aspect of MLMROD is the great video training and done-for-you, proven scripts developed. Ryan Gunness provides continual examples of live phone calls in the various situations. The Scripts The secret with any of telephone solicitation is to have a a really good set of scripts available that you have a very definitive message that you're giving. You are providing limited information, based on what you know of the prospect. The scripts are written for responses the ased on the different of triggers. For instance: - No answer left message
- No answer no voicemail
- Disconnected
- Answered Not interested
- Answered Wants More Information
- Interested in Primary Business
- Interested in MLMROD
- Interested in Both Primary Business and MLMROD
- Remove from list
So the scripts are the verbal response to these situations, but in all cases, the status of the contact must be recorded in your contact management system. In the MLMROD contact management application, you can set followup reminders and suggestions for further action in notes associated with that contact. MLMROD uses the MLMROD contact management system but it is also entered into the ResponseMagic contact management system at the same time. Using ResponseMagic as a Contact Manager for the Platinum Synergy Leads This is more than e-mail marketing. This is a not cold calling, because these folks have actually responded to your of your web page at the bar freely of an involuntary lee providing information are inquiring about the topic that you posted the webpage for. I hate cold calling. But this is not cold calling. ResponseMagic is designed as a contact management system. Your leads go through a hierarchy of different lists as they progress from one was to another their sent the different water response sequence. This is designed to a narrow down the focus of what their inquiry was what their interests were and how we can help them a move forward with that. The content management system is designed for someone who's making phone calls and of responding to a request like these are on to the top with folks get their interests and are then do a follow-up with them via e-mail onto a summarized the conversation and furthermore give contact information center. Since these leads did provide their e-mail address up and have opted in you have the permission of have their permission to respond to them of the e-mail. As a matter of practice I will follow up with every single contact with an e-mail that summarizes the conversation that we had been minimally provides contact information so they can get in touch with me again role so on reiterate any appointments that we make for any of the highlights of any conversations we have in any products and we discussed. I Was Comfortable Talking on the Phone I've been working with people on the telephone for over 30 years. I actually ran the IT helpdesk for a regional datacenter, one of five DataCenters within the company. As we expanded and merged, the various Data Centers also merged, and we determined the need for a central, dedicated help desk that used the techniques and protocols that we have defined at the regional level. I was a key player on the committee that designed this central help desk and did the business case to obtain the funding to make it happen. The difference between the helpdesk interaction that I had and telephone sales was these people calling the helpdesk had come to me for my technical expertise. I was simply calling them back. We did not have email. Everything was either by telephone, or via snailmail letter. When you start talking about telephone sales, this was far from that. Most times the leads we had were cold calls of phone numbers obtained by going through local business directories, local advertising and newspapers, or even the Yellow Pages. How I Learned Telephone Sales I had several joint ventures with two particular, and separate, Internet Millionaires. The first we will call R. We had done several things together, me on the techical side, and him doing the marketing. He has been bugging me for several years to step out of my comfort zone as a techie, and "Just Pick Up The Phone". He had been pressuring me for almost two years when I found out about MLMROD, and subsequently joined. R. had no scripts - we basically flew by the seat of our pants, so to speak. He had such an easygoing Southern style - people just pulled out their wallets and threw money at him. In addition to doing telephone sales, he actually introduced me to Skype, but I was very comfortable with conducting Webinars with commercial tools like WebEx and GoToMeeting Corporate. I had quite an arsenal of tools in this area: Webex, GVO Conference, Global NPN, GotoMeeting, and Google Hangouts. All of the above were preferrable to Skype (IMHO). The Second IM we will call K. I had been actively involved with his MLM, and he called me up one day to see if I was interested in working with him and a small team of committed individuals (6-10) to do this telephone marketing project. He made a strong case, and I agreed. We got started by doing 3-way calls, at first with him at the microphone, and as each of us got comfortable with the scripts, he and other team members would move into listening mode. After each call, we had a conference call to review and critique. It's a shame that the team was all made up of marketers who took the product vendor at his word. My personal philosophy is that I will not sell something I do not use myself, and I will not use any product that is technically flawed, has poor performance, or does not deliver what it promises. That ethics thing gets in the way. Unfortunately, the "team" did not agree with my assessment about the poor performance of the product and decided to forge ahead using that product. It was at this point we parted ways. Any questions about telephone response please feel free to contact me. See the resource box for contact information below |
