Offer a special deal to your customers who refer people to your site. This could include a rebate, a free product or a discount off their next purchase. Not only will you attract new customers, but you are more likely to see your previous customers return to buy more from you. Make sure you understand your customer base before designing an Internet marketing strategy. Consider information such as your customer demographics as well as the reasons they may visit your site. If your customer base varies widely, segmented marketing plans may make more sense than a single strategy but you will not know this if you do not research first!
